New York City and Hamptons celebrity caterer Andrea Correale has come a long way from her humble yet ambitious beginnings. At just 16 years old, motivated by the one desire every teenager is desperate for – the wheels of freedom, Andrea set out to find a way to make as much money as she could as quickly as possible! This is when Rent-A-Waitress, her first venture as an entrepreneur, was launched. It was a simple business model humbly run right out of her childhood home in Long Island New York. Needless to say it accomplished what was intended and so much more.
After experiencing moderate success, Andrea’s focus was clear, she knew the next right step was to enter the Hotel and Restaurant Management program at New York Institute of Technology. During the course of her studies she continued to run events working with private chefs growing the Rent-A-Waitress brand. By graduation day she was proud to say she employed and managed a staff of 40 people. There was no doubt that bigger and better things were on the horizon. Once she completed her degree she felt ready to move on to the next phase of her professional development. Elegant Affairs, a full service off-premise catering and event planning company was born. It began small and quickly grew into what it is today, a successful company sought out for its commitment to excellence.
Known for her innovative food presentations, Andrea’s passion is to inspire people to entertain at home with style and ease. Her hard work and experience led to an invitation from L’Oreal Paris Academy to be one of their lifestyle and entertaining experts, shortly followed by similar invitations from Ehow.com, Sam’s Club, Celebrations.com (1-800 Flowers), Lenox China, and OK! TV. Andrea’s passion, knowledge, and skill set have prompted appearance requests from Bravo, CBS, FOX, HGTV, MTV, NBC, News 12 Long Island, and VH1.
