Join us in the spacious Oak Room at The Muttontown Club for an iconic evening with renowned author, Robin Weaver. She will discuss her book Exceptional Women and Their Stories, a collection of interviews with accomplished historians, writers, journalists, business-women, politicians and humanitarians, all of whom have excelled within their own fields.
Robin’s subjects include the author and historian Amanda Foreman; White House Press Secretary to President George W. Bush, Dana Perino; President and CEO of the New York Historical Society, Louise Mirrer; the renowned Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan, and author Celia Sandys who has written five books on her grandfather Winston Churchill.
Each of the women interviewed share their personal and professional challenges but ultimately, in the words of author and legal commentator Lis Wiehl, ‘follow their bliss’.
Robin Weaver currently serves as the Executive Director of the New York Society of Mayflower Descendants. She previously served as a Vice President and Chief of Staff to the President of MetLife’s International operations.
She has also served as an adjunct professor of Business Communications at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Robin is a graduate of Emory University School of Law and is admitted to practice in New York, Pennsylvania, and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
We are delighted to host this distinguished woman at our June meeting.
